The Muaythai Australia - NSW C Class Amatuer Series.

These events is a fantastic opportunity to compete with people from all over NSW/ACT under C and D class Amateur rules. 

It is an opportunity for competitors to  vastly increase their competition experience with the ability to compete in regular bi-monthly events throughout the year in a controlled, pre-matched environment.

The event is open to MTA-NSW Member, C Class Amateur Athletes - 0 + fights (inc Dev days), 3 * 2 min rounds, and D Class Amateur Athletes.

ALL COMPETITORS MUST BE REGISTERED AND CLEARED WITH THE COMBAT SPORTS AUTHORITY OF NSW.

Registrsations close 19th February, 2023, with final cut off for NSW CSA Clearance being Friday 24th February, 2023

Athletes will be matched based on weight, experience and age. All bouts are strictly controlled and safety is paramount. Please consider carefully your entry and discuss your competitiveness with your trainer. Registration includes fight records so we will know when people are registered what experience level they have.

Eligibility - MTA - NSW Amateur Series are open to members of MTA registered Athletes and Clubs only. If you wish to enter - you must join an MTA club and get your club to join the MTA if they arent already.

Registration Fee - $0 for MTA - NSW Members. Registration is per athlete and must be paid in full prior to the event. Registration includes entry to the event. 

Medical Requirements. All athletes must be cleared with the Combat Sports Authority NSW prior to 2 September. If you are not cleared, you cannot compete and will not receive a refund.

Trainers - MTA Head Instructors get one free entry. 1- 3 fighter gets, two tickets (*entries) for trainers. Teams with more than 4 athletes get 3 trainer entries.

All other people including family are required to purchase an entry ticket.

Weight Divisions - As per IFMA weight divisions. You are required to weigh in on the Sunday at 1pm . https://muaythai.sport/muaythai-rules/

Event Waiver - is required to be completed on sign in or bring signed copy to event registration.

Schedule:

Sunday March 5

  • 1pm Weigh in

  • 2pm Doors Open

  • 3pm First Bout

Medal ceremonies will be conducted immediately after the finals bout.

Spectators:

  • Adults $40 Full Day Pass, School Kids $20 Full Day Pass, Family Pass (2*adults, 2*kids) $100

Common Questions.

What if I have no one in my weight division? You have 2 options. 1. Withdraw from the event (you will recieve entry points). 2. Enter in the weight division up and compete. We will also consider “special bouts” between people from different categories with negotiations between coaches.

What equipment do I need? You are required to have a mouth guard, cotton hand wraps and Mongkon (C Class only). Males are required to wear a groin guard. Gloves, Head gear, elbow guards, shin guards are supplied.

What clothing do I fight in? All athletes must compete in MTA-NSW competition shorts and singlet provided on MTA-NSW Registration.

Wai Kru? All C Class fighters MUST wear a Mongkon into the ring, ceil the ring and be prepared to compete.

Corner person - Maximum of one trainer and two corner people are allowed. They must stay in their chairs during the round and behave professionally or the fighter will be disqualified.
